Integrative Brain Therapies

with Rustam Yumash, B.Med.Dip.Neurology (Russia)

Rustam Yumash brings decades of experience supporting clients with a wide range of brain and mental health conditions—from common issues like anxiety, depression, chronic stress, PTSD, ADHD, and sleep disturbances to more complex cases such as Functional Neurological Disorder (FND), epilepsy, traumatic brain injury, and neurodevelopmental conditions.

What sets Rustam’s work apart is his integrative approach, combining multiple evidence-based therapies into one unified system. Each therapy is grounded in neuroscience and tailored using advanced brain diagnostics to match the individual’s unique profile.

A Framework Rooted in Integrative Neuroscience Based on the Integrative Neuroscience Model by Dr. Evian Gordon

Rustam’s clinical model targets The 4 Core Domains of Brain Function:

Thiking (Cognition)

Focus • Memory • Planning

The ability to selectively process information, shift attention, and make decisions. We assess this using neurocognitive testing (CNS Vital Signs), QEEG analysis of alpha/beta rhythms, and Continuous Performance Testing (CPT).

Feeling

Stress • Anxiety • Depression

Reflects your conscious experience of mood and distress. We evaluate this through self-report questionnaires (e.g. DASS-21), sleep quality (PSQI), and autonomic markers such as heart rate variability.

Emotion

Emotional Awareness • Flexibility • Nonconscious Negativity

Automatic and unconscious emotional reactivity. Informed by QEEG (e.g. amygdala and temporal activity), POET testing, and ERP markers linked to fear and threat sensitivity.

Self-regulation

Resilience • Social Connectivity • Regulation

The capacity to shape thoughts, emotions, and behavior over time. Assessed via HRV, sleep patterns, lifestyle review, and neurofeedback responsiveness. Crucial for trauma recovery and behavioral stability.

The Process: From Assessment to precision therapies

Effective therapy starts with gathering comprehensive, objective information, including:

  • Presenting symptoms
  • Developmental, genetic, and epigenetic history
  • Life events: from pregnancy and birth to  trauma, and injuries (Phenotype)

From here, we conduct

Advanced brain diagnostics—including QEEG, ERPs, and HRV profiling—to precisely identify patterns of brain dysregulation and neuromarkers of brain disorders.. This forms the basis for an individualized treatment plan.

Converging Evidence = Precision Therapy

We believe in building clinical hypotheses from converging lines of evidence, where subjective reports, neurophysiological data, and behavioral patterns come together to guide treatment decisions.

Core Therapeutic Modalities:

Infra-Low Frequency Neurofeedback (ILF NF)
A gentle, non-invasive method that supports brain self-regulation by working with the brain's slowest and most foundational rhythms.
Neuromeditation
Structured sessions combining mindfulness, breathwork, HRV biofeedback, and  to deepen emotional integration and self-awareness.

Photobiomodulation
Targeted light therapy that enhances neuroplasticity, mitochondrial function, and brain-body balance.
Conscious Connected Breathing (CCB)
A powerful, somatically anchored practice for unlocking trauma and improving nervous system regulation.
